Brief Itinerary

pick up Early morning at 7:00 am. Travel to the city of Rey, 30 km far from Tehran city center which it takes about 45 minutes to get there. there are many highlights in Shahr-e Rey which we have chosen to visit Tughrul tower, Rashkan castle, cheshme ali and Mil hill among them.

Tughrul tower is a monument of 12th century, the Seljuk era located in the city of Rey. This is a 20-meter-tall brick tower which is said it is the tomb of Tughrul Beg, the Seljuk ruler while some others believe it is the tomb of Khalil Soltan and his wife Shad-ol-Malek. However, some experts believe this tower is like the clock hands which can detect the time by shining the sun beam on the knurl of the tower.

Rashkan castle is located in Tehran province and was stablished to hold the city of Rey. It was built on the Parthian era. It was called after “Arashk I” who was the founder of Parthian dynasty.

cheshme ali is a spring in north of Rey and close to Rey castle and below the Rashkan castle. It dates back to 8000 years ago and was called Sourin in ancient time.
