Brief Itinerary
Your tour will include a stroll through the city, visiting Tower of Silence and the Zoroastrian Fire Temple. These two sites are very unique sites in Iran and give you the chance to know more about Zoroastrians. Then you will visit Amir Chakhmaq Complex which is the symbol of Yazd. In Water museum you will get familiar with underground water channel, Qanat. Lunch at a traditional restaurant. Next stop on the agenda is Dolat Abad Garden, a typical example of a Persian garden. Our tour will be finished with visiting The Old Town of Yazd which has been registered as UNESCO World Heritage Site. You also visit Jame Mosque of Yazd which is located in Old town and is known as one of the most beautiful mosques in Iran.
Today we travel to the ancient adobe Village of Kharanaq (80km far from Yazd). Kharanaq literally means the birth place of the sun. Then we drive through beautiful mountain scenery on the way to Chak Chak, the most important temple for Zoroastrians. Then we will visit the ancient city of Meybod including Abbasi Caravanserai where merchants not only could stay overnight but also had the chance to change their goods and learn about other nations. We will have lunch in this beautiful caravanserai. Next place is The Ice house which was used to make and keep ice. Then we will visit Narin Castle which is known as the oldest castle in Iran, last stop in Meybod is the Pigeon Tower, a fabulous structure, used for fertilizing farm lands. Head to Yazd. (Optional: visiting pottery workshops)
After breakfast you will visit Zein-ol-din Caravanserai a Safavid caravanserai built by order of Shah Abbas, It’s a unique structure with circular shape which dates back to 400 years ago. (55km far from Yazd)
Then we will visit the Saryazd Castle, The first bank in the world. The last stop is to visit the oldest mosque of Iran which is Fahraj Jame Mosque. Head to Yazd.
