Overview
A very unique trip to Qeshm Island; the largest island of Iran, situated in the strait of Hormuz in Persian Gulf. You will step in a different and so amazing world with a tropical climate. Qeshm is well-known for its wide range of Eco tourist attractions such as Harra marine forest, various ponds and mangrove forests. Chahkuh valley, Stars valley and Namakdan cave are other examples of natural attractions in Qeshm Island. The sea around Qeshm is a quiet one as the waves are often less than one-meter-high. On the contrary, the waves in the southern and eastern shores are sometimes more than 3 meters high.
The main occupation of habitants is fishing and then farming dates and melons on little cultivated land and mining salt is practiced on the southeastern shores. Qeshm is home for oysters, corals, colorful fishes and sea birds. Qeshm is an ideal place for birdwatching as according to environmentalists’ report, every year 1.5% of the world birds and 25% of Iran’s native birds migrate to its forests, which are realized as the first national geo park in Iran.
You will enjoy a 7-day tour starting from Shiraz by visiting the most important highlights in Fars province and then fly for an excursion to Qeshm. You will visit the above mentioned attractions and also the ancient Portuguese fort and the villages of Borka Khalaf , Shibderaz, Naz Island and Bandar-e Laft as well.
Brief Itinerary
Day1: Depending on your arrival to Shiraz International Airport (SYZ), you need to check in your hotel in Shiraz. Overnight at the hotel in Shiraz (-,-,-)
Day2: A full day tour through ancient Persia by visiting Persepolis, Naghshe Rostam, Naghshe Rajab and Pasargadae. Overnight stay in a local house. (B, L)
Day3: A selection of some highlights of Shiraz: Vakil bazaar, Tomb of Hafez, visit Nasir-Al-Molk Mosque, Eram Garden inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Shah Cheragh Shrine. Having lunch at a local restaurant. Transferring to Shiraz airport for domestic flight to Qeshm island. Overnight stay at an eco-lodge/ local house. (B, L, D)
Day4: A full day sightseeing by visiting the most highlights of Qeshm island on the shore of Persian Gulf such as Khorbas cave and Borka Khalaf village and the valley of stars. afterwards, continue our way towards Naz island and then Shibderaz village. Socializing with locals. Overnights stay at an eco-lodge/ local house. (B, L, D)
Day5: Drive via coastal roads towards the magnificent Namakdan Cave, then continue towards Chahkooh canyon. Overnight stay at an eco-lodge/ local house. (B, L)
Day 6: Travel to Bandar-e Laft, an ancient coastal village dating over 2000 years. visiting the historical monument of Naderi Castle and the burial ground, Tala wells which dating back to the Achaemenian and Sassanian dynasties. Also visiting Hara forest, the UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. Overnight stay at the local house. (B, L, D)
Day 7: According to flight schedule, the vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to the Qeshm airport flying back to Shiraz. (B)
