Overview
Alamut valley (Valley of Assassins) is one of the most popular Iran destinations not only for its beautiful nature but also its rich history. Alamut region is located in the heart of west Alborz mountains and passing through high mountains, deep valleys, waterfalls and plains. Alamut has been also the main way to connect Caspian Sea to Ghazvin city and the villages around. What attracts lots of travelers and trekkers to Alamut is to experience trekking through mountains from one village to another, socialize to locals and staying in their homes, visiting Alamut castle, old Caravanserai and historical monuments and keep trekking toward the north and the Caspian Sea. This adventure trip in Iran is designed for travelers whom would like to cross and visit the most parts of Alamut mountains and villages by trekking.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Tehran to Alamut region early morning and a short day trekking. Overnight stay in a local guesthouse. (B, L, D)
Day 2: Second day trekking through mountains and visiting Alamut castle. Overnight stay in a local house. (B, L, D)
Day 3: A short transfer in the morning and day trek to the next village. Overnight stay in a local house.(B, L, D)
Day 4: Trekking to next village towards the north. Overnight stay in a local house.(B, L, D)
Day 5: Crossing Alamut mountain pass and visiting the old Caravanserai. Trekking towards Hyrcanian forests. Overnight stay in a local house.(B, L, D)
Day 6: Last day trekking through Hyrcanian forests and visiting an old village in the heart of mountains. Overnight stay in a local house.(B, L, D)
Day 7: Visiting Ramsar city and return to Tehran to your Hotel. (B, L, D)
