Overview
A spiritual journey in Iran! This itinerary has been planned for those travelers who wish to know more about Sufism known as Islamic mysticism. It is a 7 days’ tour from Tehran to Mashhad visiting the mausoleums of eastern philosophers like Bayazid Bastami, Hakim Haj Molla Hadi Sabzevari (Asrar tomb) and the holy shrine of Imam Reza, the eight Shi’ite Imam; therefore, there is a possibility to know more about Islamic ideas as well. This tour is easy to moderate level, so everyone with a general physical fitness can choose this itinerary.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Check in hotel in Tehran. Overnight stay in a hotel in Tehran. (-)
Day 2: Having Tehran sightseeing and city tour by visiting the capital highlights such as Golestan Palace, UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then visiting Grand Bazar. In the afternoon drive to visit the Persian carpet museum. Overnight in Tehran. (B)
Day 3: Fly to Mashad in the morning. Visiting and spending time in Imam Reza holy Shrine. Overnight stay in a Hotel in Mashhad. (B)
Day 4: Travel to Kalat Nader countryside to visit Khorshid palace. Late afternoon back to the hotel. (B)
Day 5: Driving to the tomb of Ferdowsi, the creator of Shahnameh; so visiting Haroonieh, the tomb of Imam Mohammad Qazali. visit Nadershah Afshar’s tomb. Overnight stay in the Hotel in Mashhad. (B)
Day 6: Travel to Niyshabur visiting the magnificent architecture of mausoleum of Omar Khayyam, mausoleum of Attar Niyshaburi and the tomb of Kamal-ol-Molk. (B)
Day 7: Depending to your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Mashhad International airport to get your flight back home. (B)
