Overview

This is a memorable journey passing through Iran classic route starting from Tehran and ends in Shiraz by visiting the most historical monuments and ancient palaces in Tehran, Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd, Abarkuh, Varzaneh and Shiraz and staying in a great refurbished caravanserai and local houses in ancient villages and tasting the traditional cuisines. You will get to know various cultures and different life styles by socializing with locals during 12 days.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Depending on your arrival to Tehran International Airport (IKA), you need to check in your hotel in Tehran. Overnight at the hotel in Tehran (-,-,-)

 

Day 2: A walking city tour in Tehran by visiting National museum and Golestan Palace, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and spending some times in Grand Bazar.  Having lunch at a local restaurant. Then transfer to Carpet museum. Overnight at the hotel in Tehran. (B, L)

 

Day 3: Drive to Kashan; visiting the underground city of Noushabad. Then we will go to a local restaurant to have a lunch. Overnight stay in a traditional style hotel. (B, L, D)

 

Day 4: Kashan city tour visiting Tabatabaeis’ and Borujerdis’ Houses, the significant ancient site of Sialk hills which dates back to 3000 – 4000 BC; go to the historical and traditional Fin Garden, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight at the hotel in Kashan. (B, L, D)

 

Day 5: Check out hotel and hit the road towards Isfahan. Check in the hotel and then go to a local restaurant for a traditional cuisine. After lunch, visiting Vank cathedral; then visiting Atigh Jameh mosque, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Late afternoon visiting Si-o-se-pol and Khaju bridges. Overnight stay at the hotel. (B, L)

 

Day 6: A stroll city tour in Isfahan for visiting Naghshe Jahan Square, UNESCO’s World Heritage Site with its magnificent surroundings, the Shah mosque (Imam Mosque), Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotf Allah mosque and Qeysarie Gate. Spending some times in Isfahan grand Bazzar, having lunch at a local restaurant.  Then visiting Chehel Sotoun and Hasht Behesht Palaces.  Overnight stay in the hotel.  (B, L)

 

Day 7: Travel to Kuhpayeh town. Check in Kuhpa caravanserai and then follow the route to Varzaneh desert for a full day excursion; visiting Gav Chah, Asiab Shotor, Ghurtan citadel. Afterward, heading towards Varzaneh desert. Have a packet lunch. Overnight stay in Kuhpa Caravanserai. (B, L, D)

 

Day 8: Early morning waking up. driving to the historical city of Yazd and visiting the most important highlights of Nain and Meybod on our way. Overnight stay in an Eco lodge or traditional style hotel. (B, L)

 

Day 9:  A stroll through the city, visiting Tower of Silence and the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Qanat, Dolat Abad Garden and Jame Mosque of Yazd. Overnight stay in a eco lodge or traditional style hotel. (B, L)

 

Day 10: Early morning waking up and having breakfast. Drive to Sa’adat Shahr for a full day excursion to visit the Ancient Persia by visiting Pasargadae & Persepolis, the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Naghshe Rostam, Naghshe Rajab; on the way visiting the Cypress of Abarkuh known as the Zoroastrian Sarv. Overnight stay in a local house in Sa’adat Shahr. (B, L, D)

 

Day 11: Travel to Shiraz for a full day walking city tour by visiting Nasir-Ol- Molk mosque, Atigh Jame mosque the oldest and the first mosque in Shiraz, Vakil Mosque & bazar and Karimkhan citadel. Having lunch at a local restaurant; Afterward drive towards tomb of Sa’di, Hafez mausoleum and Eram garden. Overnight stay in a hotel. (B, L)

 

Day 12: Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to Shiraz International airport (SYZ) to take your return flight to home. (B)
