Overview
A true and indelible journey through ancient Persian Empires. It is a 13 days’ tour starting from Shiraz to Tehran passing via many historical highlights; an elegant combination of main touristic cities such as Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan, Kashan, Tehran and many highlights in off the beaten tracks visiting the most UNESCO World Heritage Sites in southern and central Persia. You will have the chance to visit ancient towns /villages of Sarvestan, Firuzabad, Bishapur, Eqlid, Kharanagh, Chak Chak, Meybod, Kuhpayeh, Abyaneh. This tour will take you to the ancient time of Iran; you should close your eyes and imagine the Great Persia Empire.
This tour is a moderate one according to the level of difficulty; so any traveler with a general physical fitness can join it.
Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Depending on your arrival to Shiraz International Airport (SYZ), check in hotel. (-,-,-)
Day 2: Full day city tour of Shiraz, visiting the most highlights such as Nasir-Ol- Molk mosque, Jame mosque, Vakil Mosque & bazar and Karimkhan citadel, tomb of Sa’di, Hafez mausoleum and Eram garden. Overnight stay at the hotel (B, L)
Day 3: A full day excursion to the Sassanid Archeological Landscape of Fars region, visiting Sarvestan monument, continue the path towards Firuzabad for visiting Dohktar castle, Ardeshir Babakan’s palace and the ancient city of Ardeshir Khurreh. Overnight stay in a hotel (B, L, D)
Day 4: Go on an excursion to the Sassanid Archeological Landscape of Fars region, visiting the ancient city of Bishapour, trekking for 1 hour to visit Shapur cave and his statue. Overnight stay at a local house in Bishapur. (B, L, D)
Day 5: A full day tour through ancient Persia by visiting Persepolis, Naghshe Rostam, Naghshe Rajab and Pasargadae. Overnight stay in a local house. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Driving towards Yazd which takes about 5 hours; visit Eqlid, a gate between the high mountains and the desert overnight stay in a traditional style hotel in Yazd. (B, L, D)
Day 7: A stroll through the city of Yazd, visiting Tower of Silence and the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Qanat, Dolat Abad Garden. Overnight stay in the traditional style hotel in Yazd. (B, L)
Day 8: Travel to Kuhpa town; visiting Kharanagh, Meybod; then continue towards Nain and visit the Jameh Mosque of Nain. Overnight stay in Kuhpa Caravanserai. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Drive to Isfahan; A stroll city tour in Isfahan for visiting Naghshe Jahan Square, UNESCO’s World Heritage Site with its magnificent surroundings, spending some times in grand Bazzar; visit Chehel Sotoun and Hasht Behesht Palaces, Si-o-se-pol and Khaju bridges in the evening. Overnight stay in a hotel. (B, L)
Day 10: A half day city tour in Isfahan to visit Vank cathedral and Jameh mosque, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive towards the historical village of Abyaneh for a walking tour in the village. Overnight stay in a traditional style hotel in Abyaneh. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Travel to Tehran passing through Kashan to have a city tour; visit historical houses of Tabatabaeis and Borujerdis, the significant Sialk hills and the historical Fin Garden, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Late afternoon, drive to Tehran. Overnight at the hotel in Tehran. (B, L, D)
Day 12: A walking city tour in Tehran; visit National museum and Golestan Palace, UNESCO World Heritage Sites; then spend some times in Grand Bazar; Having lunch at a local restaurant, then transfer to Carpet museum. Overnight at the hotel in Tehran. (B, L)
Day 13: Morning time at your leisure; according to your flight schedule, you will be transferred to IKA airport to take your flight back home. (B)
